We'll be showing our full inaugural collection at the Global
Indigenous Runway as part of Virgin Australia’s Melbourne Fashion Festival on Sunday 10 March 2019 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The Connection to Country runway is a special opportunity for us to showcase our lead designer, Natasha Lewis Honeyman's Maori heritage.
For this special runway event, a series of one-off wearable art headpieces have been created by Natasha, in collaboration and under the tutelage of Alice Spittle, using Maori traditions of raranga (weaving) with harekeke (New Zealand flax) to accompany the runway collection.
Coming to the event and want to connect?
Natasha will be attending the event and would love to say hi! She will be wearing a Tasha Rui promo tee. Come and say hi if you are there.
Contact: media enquiries may be directed to Tina at Global Indigenous Management on 0430 796 086.
Tasha Rui's showcase at Global Indigenous Runway as part of Virgin Australia's Melbourne Fashion Festival is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
