Protect the environment and your garment by following these washing tips…

There are special washing bags designed to prevent microplastic fibres from entering rivers and oceans when you are washing synthetic textiles.

  • Simply purchase a purpose designed washing bag.

  • Put it to use by zipping in your garments into the bag - and hand washing or popping it in your machine.

  • Hand washing does extend the life of your garments… just sayin’.

  • Voila! Clean clothes, clean ocean.

But, how does this work?

  • Your washing machine creates friction during a wash and your tumbling clothes release micro-fibres into the water.

  • These broken fibres collect in the corners of the washing bag during washing and can be easily removed by hand and disposed of responsibly, so that they don't end up in the ocean.
